The Project
Build a unique retail activation for the launch of Adidas Parley shoes, which save approximately 11 plastic bottles from reaching our oceans when recycled into a pair of trainers.
Custom Fabrication
The recycling units themselves were created entirely from recycled materials - from the reclaimed wood frame to the used components and wiring. Three units were built and distributed to flagship stores.
User Interface Software
We used a unique laser counting system and plastic bottle detection hardware to record the volume of bottles traveling through the depository flute.
For every 11th plastic bottle recycled, that participant won a reusable water bottle and every 111th won them a new pair of Adidas Parley trainers.
